Two of the four 'Faces of Kansas', an award presented to me and my buddy from youth, Terry Tietjens, at the 2012 Annual Tourism Conference in root'n toot'n Dodge City! You can find our photos and bios in the winter issue of KANSAS! magazine. (See, my gift of gab paid off after all these years! They actually awarded Terry and me for our unstopable talking!) It was an honor to receive this tourism recognition and especially to share it with Terry, the master promoter, an icon of Abilene, KS. Thank you, my friends, for the cards, calls, and stopping by Village Lines to congratulate me! The award, however, belongs to all of you who serve your small towns through the city council, security forces, service organizations, and especially those of you who care about the beauty and cleanliness of your community so that it is welcoming and attractive to visitors. I would not have anything to promote if you were'nt doing your part! So, this award is shared with you!
